Sharing Indigenous
This Forum is for sharing all things Indigenous, Events, music, food, art, culture.
This month we celebrate the original inhabitants of North America. And their strength, beauty and endurance through all the different hardships and those who tried to erase each of their cultures. The original care takers of the land, the animals, plants and a life connected with the world around them.

Today we celebrate the original inhabitants of America. The many cultures of the Indigenous people.
Even though some cultures and indigenous languages have been lost, many have survived through the ages after many years of fierce battles to try and keep land that what rightfully theirs. After epidemics from diseases introduced by new settlers, and being forced to give up their cultures to be assimilated into the “white world”. After so much loss we are still here today.
Some, like myself have strayed far from the cultures of our ancestors. I have forgotten the stories I was told as a child, the hunting ways of my people. How to truly live as one with nature. But I am trying to find my way back to the culture of my ancestors.
